Private Classes

Body, Mind and Breath

Body, Mind and Breath Classes are available for individuals and groups. These can be arranged in workplaces, private spaces, at festivals or conferences.

‘Body, mind and breath techniques have been an important part of my creative practice as a writer and director. From first attending a yoga class at nineteen, I now teach regularly having trained in the tradition of Krishnamacharya. Alongside this, I maintain a personal practice of disciplines to tune body, mind and breath to seasonal change and cycles within nature. I enjoy creating personal practices to meet the specific needs of individuals and groups, especially those pursuing careers in the Arts and related fields.’ - Meme McDonald

Pathways Towards Meditation

Meditation for thousands of years – and now more than ever in the rush of our daily life – has been applauded for its remarkable benefits on the health and vitality of body, mind and spirit. It can create focus and ease in the middle of chaos or tranquility or both. And yet the state of meditation is illusive, rarely achieved, the spiritual masters remind us. Fortunately, there are many pathways or techniques that are helpful companions in leading us closer to this rare and refi ned state. Some of these techniques are age old and some of them new.

Immerse yourself in a nourishing day exploring techniques to help craft your own personal space and time in which to encourage the state of meditation. Become familiar with techniques that can refresh your current meditation practice or create new ways of creating the opportunity for meditation in the challenge and fullness of urban living.

These techniques will include:

  • walking as meditation;
  • patterned movement;
  • regulation of the breath;
  • chanting and
  • imaging.
